First Hill Surgery Center Coronavirus Update
First Hill Surgery Center is taking the spread of COVID-19 very seriously. We are monitoring the situation, staying in touch with our local public health officials, and updating our processes and protocols accordingly. It is important to know that 80% of COVID-19 cases are mild or without symptoms. Like the seasonal flu, COVID-19 infection is more severe in patients with chronic underlying health conditions and the elderly.
Rescheduling Your Surgery
If you have symptoms of respiratory illness, call your surgeon’s office to reschedule your surgery.
To help prevent the spread of infection, we are asking all patients with symptoms of respiratory illness — fever, runny nose, cough, or shortness or breath — to please contact your surgeon's office or First Hill Surgery Center to reschedule their surgery.
Screening Via Phone at Check-In
Your phone screening will be completed during your pre-op call, 2 business days before surgery.
Our staff are screening all patients for COVID-19 over the phone and in person based on guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and King County Public Health. If you arrive at First Hill Surgery Center and screen positive, you will be asked to put on a mask, wash your hands, and reschedule your surgery date.
